BI-REX (Big Data Innovation & Research Excellence) is a competence center established by the Ministry of Economic Development in 2018. Its focus is on big data, its mission to support companies in their technological innovation processes.
The nature of BI-REX is both public and private, in fact it is made up of fifty-seven partners including universities, research centers and companies of excellence. It is based in Bologna and acts as a point of convergence of the know-how of the Emilia Romagna High Technology network, which it wants to redistribute among small and medium-sized companies in the area; however, it is characterized by an international approach.
